Family Cooking Classes Now Offered

Posted by on February 27, 2012

Now that our Kitchen Kids program for grades 3-8 is underway, we have expanded to children younger. If you have a 2nd grader or younger you can now enroll them in our Family Cooking Class. The first session will be a three session class on April 2, 16 & 30 from 5:15-6:30 pm at the James Valley Community Center (300 W 1st Ave, Mitchell, SD). A parent must attend with the child, but it is not limited to just one parent or child the entire family is welcome!

The class is designed to give a sense of confidence for your children in the kitchen, for a parent to connect with their children on a new level, and tackle issue such as picky eaters and mindful grocery shopping. Each family will receive a Today I Ate a Rainbow Kit (designed to encourage your children to eat more fruits & vegetables) and leave each class with a full prepared meal to cook or serve. Your time is valuable and we at Time at the Table want to enhance your family dinner!
