We all sit with lumps in our throats and turning in our stomachs as we read of the devastating news coming out of Connecticut and China today. Most at a loss of what to do and say. Needless to say, some tough conversations ahead at the dinner table, the water fountain at work and at the coffee shops.
Nothing we do or say will fix what has happened or reverse the effects these families face, but we can choose to build a better community.
We can:
- involve ourselves into the community more.
- listen.
- be better neighbors and friends.
- love more.
Before we rest our eyes and minds tonight we CAN do something.
And again tomorrow.
And the next day.
It will never be perfect but the choice is ours to make it better.
